The League City Intermediate RoboCats attended the Texas BEST Robotics State Competition in December located in Dallas.

The Texas BEST Robotics Competition is not only about the robot competition, it requires a project engineering notebook documenting the engineering process and design, a marketing presentation and exhibit, and the team’s enthusiasm and sportsmanship during events.

The team competed against 72 other high school and middle school teams from several states. The robotics competition this year was agricultural themed and the RoboCats’ robot was able to successfully plant and harvest corn, as well as fix an irrigation pipe.

The RoboCats scored 14th overall in the Texas BEST award and won 3rd place in the T-shirt design contest! The team also scored 23rd in the robot game.

Way to go RoboCats! Keep up the hard work for the upcoming robotics season!
